The Commercial and Financial Advisory Services Panel for Infrastructure and Capital Asset Projects, and Commercial Transactions (the Panel) aims to facilitate the engagement of external specialist advisory services in order to obtain high quality advice, best value for money in terms of competitive fee scales, and expedited service delivery.
The Panel provides for:
- a streamlined tendering process for the engagement of specialist advisory Service Providers for significant projects for Government;
- reduced effort required by advisory Service Providers in meeting departments’ requirements; and,
- reduced cost to Government to contract expert specialist advisory Service Providers, where savings accrue from reductions in advertising and transaction costs.
The use of the Panel by government agencies is not mandatory nor is it exclusive of other Government approved procurement methods for obtaining advisory services.
The Panel was established in October 2008 and, coincident with an Option to Extend the Contract Term to 30 September 2013, a limited Refresh to the Panel (Service Provider) membership is presently being finalised. The Tender period has closed and no further submissions will be accepted. All tenderers have been notified of the outcome of their application.
Once successful tenderers have executed a contract with the Department they will become eligible for engagements under the Panel. The new Service Providers' details will be published following execution of contracts between the Department and each respective Provider.
